**About This Role**:
The Human Resources Specialist provides support for various HR programs and processes within a functional expertise. The HR Specialist is a go to for a variety of HR related activities, projects, administration, and metrics. This individual will interact with employees and managers as needed and will support the management and measurement the work of the Company's HR programs to drive successful results. Additionally, this individual should exhibit credibility and knowledge in labor and social security legislation as well as demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills. Provides support with negotiations with collective agreements.

**Essential Job Functions/Tasks**:
Responsible for benefits and compensation plan compliance, including auditing and amending plans, and managing vendor relationships to ensure administrative accuracy, regulatory compliance, cost containment, and employee satisfaction.
Plans and coordinates new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals. Maintains and processes all employee data in UltiPro, which may include new hires, onboarding, employee personal information, status changes, benefits, and terminations. Interacts closely with the Payroll and Benefits department and provides information for any questions related to HR for all employees and managers.
Validates time and attendance reports prior to payroll processing. Ensures completion of all necessary payroll approvals and ensures the accuracy of payroll, including but not limited to base pay, bonuses, payroll taxes, medical and other deductions.
Processes any HR-related invoices and expenses for the department, which may include assisting with administrative activities related to office supplies and facilities requests.
Coordinates the company safety program in accordance with compliance regulations.
Develops and compiles data to produce a variety of reports for government agencies within the HR department and throughout the company. Reports may be done on a weekly, monthly, or as needed basis.
Maintains current and complete understanding of Federal and State laws and regulations. Protects Hunter's interests by ensuring all legal requirements are met.
Performs job evaluations, administration of performance review programs, salary increases for the company, sales management plans and general incentive plans.
May assist in the implementation of required Training and Development courses. Evaluates the effectiveness of programs and proposes improvements to it and keeps up-to-date training records.
Plans and carries out company events. Supports employee recognition and/or motivation events. Helps coordinate meetings by sending invites, securing room and supplies needed, and ordering food, if requested.

**Qualifications**:
**Education/Training Required and Preferred**:
High school diploma.
Associate degree or Bachelor's in Human Resources or related field preferred.
**Experience Required and Preferred**:
Minimum of three years of human resources experience.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's) Required and Preferred**:
KSA #1: Demonstrated ability to validate payroll data.
KSA #2: Must have strong organizational skills to meet time schedules and deadlines.
KSA #3: Ability to work under mínimal supervision, to self-initiate activities, and to work within timelines.
KSA #4: Effective communication skills, both oral and written to relate well with co-workers, employees, and all levels of management.
KSA #5: Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing organizational needs.
KSA #6: Must have knowledge of applicable laws and regulations with ability to explain HR policies and procedures.
