Overview

Procurement Specialists at Kyndryl play a critical role in supporting global procurement activities and tasks that are not sourcing specific. This involves several job role specialties such as business operations, policies and practices, global compliance, client services bid management, supplier contract development, and negotiation in support of complex services engagements.

As a Procurement Specialist at Kyndryl, you will provide support for various procurement activities, often working within a procurement office environment, to deliver successful outcomes to your customer. You will focus on specific aspects of procurement – such as supply chain analytics, contracts management, project management, strategic sourcing, and procurement operations – as you build skills working under a procurement or program manager. As you build skills, you will move into other aspects of delivering successful procurement outcomes, with a goal of preparing to lead procurement projects on your own.

Responsibilities

• Meet the demands of global procurement activities across business operations, policies and practices, global compliance, client services bid management, supplier contract development, and negotiation in support of complex services engagements.
• Provide support for various procurement activities in a procurement office environment and develop skills in supply chain analytics, contracts management, project management, strategic sourcing, and procurement operations while working under a procurement or program manager, with the goal of preparing to lead procurement projects on your own.
• Build relationships by meeting a lot of people, networking, and sharing expertise within Kyndryl's procurement community locally and globally to support career growth.

Required Skills And Experience

• More than one year of procurement experience, preferably in hardware and maintenance.
• Competencies in negotiation and good communication skills.
• Familiarity with the SAP Ariba platform.
• Advanced level of English.
• Experience in procurement, although profiles with experience in other business units will be considered.
• Ability to relate to buyers from different locations.
• Comfortable negotiating prices and rates, and being inquisitive in procurement to challenge suppliers and clients.
• Knowledge of procurement tools, processes, management software, and internal controls.
