Role Overview

We are hiring Country / Market Sales Directors on behalf of a client to lead business growth in key overseas markets. This role is responsible for market development, channel/distributor expansion, customer relationship management, and sales delivery in the assigned country.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that requires strong industrial B2B sales experience, the ability to manage long sales cycles, and a proven capability to develop customers and channels in the local market.


Ideal Experience Level

  • 7–12 years of total professional experience, primarily in industrial or project-based B2B sales
  • This role is hands-on in nature and best suited for experienced sales professionals who enjoy being closely involved in market development, customer engagement, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute market expansion strategies for the assigned country
  • Build and manage local sales channels, distributors, and customer networks
  • Identify and develop new customers, manage key accounts, and maintain long-term partnerships
  • Drive end-to-end sales activities including pipeline building, negotiation, and closing
  • Work closely with internal teams to support business execution and achieve sales targets
  • Deliver sales results aligned with annual business goals


Mandatory Requirements (Must-have)

Candidates must meet all requirements below:


1) Relevant Industry Experience

Proven B2B sales experience in industrial-related sectors such as:

  • Metallurgy / Cement / Mining
  • Non-ferrous metals
  • Paper-making
  • Energy or energy-related materials
  • Building materials and related industrial products


Market focus notes:

  • Brazil: paper-making, mining, building materials
  • Chile: mining, building materials
  • Japan / Kazakhstan: open (no strict industry limitation; relevant industrial background preferred)


Note: For mining, candidates involved purely in bulk commodity trading are not the target. Preference is given to candidates selling related products or solutions to mine owners (e.g. machinery, equipment, materials, consumables, supporting products).


2) Strong B2B Sales Background

  • 7–12 years of total experience, with a strong focus on industrial / project-based B2B sales
  • Not suitable for entry-level or training/graduate sales profiles


3) Language Requirements

  • Fluent English
  • Fluent local language of the assigned work location


4) Sales Targets (Reference)

Expected sales targets for the assigned market:

Brazil / Chile / Japan

  • Year 1: USD 1.5M
  • Year 2: USD 3.5M
  • Year 3: USD 6.0M

Kazakhstan

  • Year 1: USD 1.0M
  • Year 2: USD 2.3M
  • Year 3: USD 4.0M


Preferred Qualifications (Strong Advantage)

1) Existing Channels / Resources

  • Established sales channels in the target industry
  • Distributor networks
  • Verifiable existing customer resources


2) Complex Sales Capability

  • Experience managing long sales cycles
  • Comfortable with multi-stakeholder decision-making and project-based selling


3) Local Market Execution

  • Strong understanding of the local market structure and competitive landscape
  • Ability to independently develop clients and drive transactions


Nice-to-have (Bonus Points)

  • Experience working with Chinese companies or Chinese HQ
  • Experience building market and channel presence from scratch
  • Multi-product or multi-business-unit sales exposure
