The incumbent reports to the Assistant Representative in FAO Brazil – ProgrammeTechnical Focus:
Develop surveys, systematizations, and analyses to produce technical documents offering comprehensive understanding across the programs developed within the functional areas of MDA (SAF, SETEQ, SEAB, and SFDT). This includes identifying potential innovative practices focused on strengthening Family Farming from gender, race, and ethnic perspectives, agroecological transition, agrobiodiversity, public procurement, supply policies, sustainable territorial development, renewable energies, sociobiodiversity, acquisition, and commercialization of products from Traditional Peoples and Communities..Tasks and Responsibilities:
Participate in initial alignment meetings and periodic meetings with the DAMEI/SE/MDA team to monitor activities;Attend meetings with SAF, SFDT, SEAB, and SETEQ teams for information gathering;Support DAMEI with information in the development process of the service model for the functional areas of MDA;Develop and deliver the products outlined in this Terms of Reference;Present the results of this consultancy in relevant forums during the contract period and as per DAMEI/SE/MDA coordination's demands;Participate in meetings/consultations related to consultancy executionCandidates Will Be Assessed Against The Following:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Humanities or Applied Social Sciences (according to Capes/CNPq knowledge areas table).In case of having a Bachelor's degree, at least of 5 (five) experience in systematizing experiences, studies, and/or policies in the field of family farming, OR Specialization and 03 years of experience in the mentioned areas, OR Master's degree and 02 years of experience in the mentioned areas OR Ph.D. and 01 year of experience in the mentioned areasWorking knowledge (level C) of Portuguese and English or SpanishBrazilian Nationality or other legally authorized to work in Brazil.Source:
