Quality Manager Location: Manaus, Brazil
As the head of the Laboratory in Brazil, oversee the laboratory’s technical planning and management—with a focus on advancing testing technologies to enhance the laboratory's testing technical capabilities. Take charge of the establishment and management of the laboratory system to ensure the continuous and effective operation of the laboratory quality system. Supervise the calibration of the company’s instruments to guarantee timely, compliant calibration practices.
2.1 System Management
System Development and Maintenance: Based on the company's operational requirements, lead the team to gradually establish and maintain management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO/IEC 27001. Lead the team in conducting management reviews, internal audits, and external audits, and implement targeted improvements.
Continuous Improvement: Promote the development of a quality culture within subsidiaries through various methods, including KCA activities, Lean, and Six Sigma projects, to continuously improve the company's quality culture and performance.
2.2 Supplier Quality Management
Supplier Access and Monitoring: Support the AVL introduction of new suppliers, continuous management and control of the quality performance of existing local suppliers, conduct quality audits and evaluations, improve supplier material quality performance, manage supplier changes, etc.
Material Monitoring: Organize and carry out inspection and problem correction of local and CKD materials, and work closely with the headquarters SQE team to handle quality problems related to CKD materials and follow up on improvements.
Continuous Improvement and Cost Management: Continuously drive improvements in supplier KPI performance, including batch qualification rate and material DPPM performance in the manufacturing line, and collaborate on quality compensation for supplier issues.
2.3 Manufacturing Process Quality Management
Process Control Standards: Work closely with headquarters to establish, improve, and implement subsidiary process control standards, including yield rate monitoring, control plans, and key control parameter monitoring.
Process Monitoring and Management: Implement process monitoring including first-article control, dummy tests for key processes, IPQC inspections, and process-specific inspections.
Manufacturing Worker Training and Qualification: Provide job qualification and periodic training for manufacturing workers, including new employees and existing employees.
Process Problem Management: Monitor production defective product data, lead the processing, analysis and improvement tracking of process batch problems, and lead the process shipment risk assessment.
2.4 Customer Quality Management
Outgoing Quality Assurance: Formulate product outgoing inspection standards, conduct outgoing quality inspections at different manufacturing stages, analyze, process and improve defects found in OQA sampling checks.
Customer Audit: Lead various types of audits conducted by customers or third-party certification bodies on the factory, including audits for manufacturing processes and audits for system management, to ensure that the audits are passed.
Customer Acceptance: Lead the factory customer acceptance of shipped products, handle acceptance problems, and ensure that the acceptance is passed on the first attempt.
Customer Issue Handling: Respond to customer feedback or complaints promptly, lead the investigation and improvement of issues related to customer feedback or complaints, and output relevant analysis and improvement reports (8D reports or FA reports) as required, to minimize the severity and impact of customer complaints, continuously improve and enhance customer satisfaction.
RMA Processing: Timely collect customer-end quality performance data, promptly lead the improvement of high-frequency and serious problems, analyze and handle customer RMA products, and promptly meet customer RMA processing requirements.
External Expenses and Costs: Perform timely statistics and analysis of external quality problem costs, provide early warning of large expenses, and reduce external loss costs.
2.5 Lab Management
ISO/IEC 17025 Certification: Closely cooperate with the headquarters to complete the ISO/IEC 17025 certification and maintenance to support the local delivery of products, independently manage the local laboratory system and maintenance, and ensure the first inspection qualification.
Measuring Instrument Calibration Management: Organize the team to complete the internal and external calibration of the factory's measuring instruments within the cycle, track the calibration process and handle exceptions.
Daily Management: Be responsible for the daily management of the laboratory, including the continuous construction of testing capabilities, coordination of third-party testing resources, recruitment and assessment of personnel, and safety management, to ensure the efficient operation of the testing center.
【Qualifications】
Education: Bachelor's degree or above, major in engineering, quality management or other related fields.
Industry Experience:
Have 8 years or more of manufacturing quality management experience in the electronics industry, with at least 3 years of experience in quality team management and laboratory management.
Experience establishing and maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 27001, and ISO/IEC 17025 systems.
Language Skills: Fluent in English and Portuguese. Chinese is preferred.
Professional Skills:
Proficiency in applying quality tools and methods, such as FMEA, PPAP, MSA, CPK, SPC, and Minitab.
Qualification as an internal auditor for ISO9001/17025 and other systems, and familiarity with Brazilian INMETRO and other certification regulations.
Others:
Leadership: Effective team building, cross-departmental collaboration, the ability to drive problem resolution and improvement both internally and externally, and the continuous development of a quality culture.
Project Management: Demonstrated systematic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and efficient achievement of quality goals.
