Job Mission

Responsible for managing and controlling activities related to accounting, internal controls, compliance, SOX, internal and external audits, as well as Mexichem's reporting.

Responsabilitienes

• Plan and manage accounting activities, internal and external reporting to government agencies, tax planning, internal controls and SOX compliance, and internal and external audits.
• 
  • Coordinate with peers the execution of tax planning for new operations/branch openings, optimization of available resources, and reduction of the tax burden.
• 
  • Stay up-to-date on trends and changes in monetary, fiscal, economic, exchange rate, and industrial policies to assess their impact on corporate business;
• 
  • Manage the planning for maintaining the accounting chart of accounts structure, being responsible for complying with the Financial Policy procedures and meeting the Mexichem Group's Internal Risk Audit, in addition to monitoring and managing relevant internal controls;
• 
  • Manage monthly earnings closings and reporting to headquarters, analyzing key events in the income statement;
• 
  • Constantly align the company's activities with the Group's internal policies, national/international accounting standards, and current legislation to minimize operational risks.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor's Degree: Accounting with (CRC). Desirable: Postgraduate/MBA: Specialization in Finance, Accounting/Controllership P
• 5+years of proven experience as a Accounting and Internal Controls Manager
• Leadership skills, Analytical and problem-solving skills, strong organisational skills to ensure effective planning and tracking of activities and actions, excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent communications skills in English and intermediate Spanish, both verbally as well as in writing.
• Willingness to travel (10-20% if necessary).
