Technical/Functional Business Analyst

We are seeking a versatile Business Intelligence Analyst with Data Focus to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders to gather and define requirements, analyze business processes, and collaborate with developers to implement effective solutions. You will need strong communication skills, a good understanding of business operations, and the ability to work with technical teams to deliver projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and product managers to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
  • Develop automated reporting processes to streamline operations.
  • Perform gap analysis between current and desired systems and processes.
  • Support system design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop user stories, process flows, use cases, and data mapping documents.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues and providing post-implementation support.
  • Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure solutions meet business expectations.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a business analyst, preferably in both functional and technical roles.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall).
  • Ability to write functional specs, BRDs, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and system integration concepts.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or Lucidchart.
  • Experience in data analysis or reporting is a must.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ERP or CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce).
  • Knowledge of APIs, web services, or system architecture.
