Summary

As the Automation & Control System Lead Engineer at HMH, you will design and develop advanced control solutions for cutting-edge equipment and systems within the oil and gas industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, supporting the reliability, innovation, and enhancement of our digital technology portfolio.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement software solutions for HMH control systems and products.
• Ensure seamless integration of solutions with other products and systems
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and diligently manage software deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with the aftermarket team to support our installed base.
• Uphold HMH's vision, values, strategies, policies, and standards in all professional activities.
  
  

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation & Control Systems, Computer, Mechatronics, or a related field

Experience:

• Demonstrated proficiency in:
• HMI software (e.g., WinCC, Cimplicity)
• Programming languages (e.g., VBA, C++, C#)
• Siemens PLC platforms using Simatic Classic / TIA Portal and DasyLab.
• PLC languages: FEB, STL, SCL and other Structural Language
• Experience with:
• Industrial Networks: Profinet, Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus
• Process and/or machine control systems in an industrial environment
• Application within the oil and gas industry, particularly offshore drilling equipment, and pressure control systems
• Familiarity with:
• SCADA systems
• Database management (e.g., SQL)
• Instrumentation and electrical circuits (preferred)

• Strong analytical and effective communication skills (English and Portuguese)
• Proven ability to collaborate and thrive within cross-disciplinary teams.
