As the Project Portfolio Manager, you will be part of the Finance Transformation team that has overall responsibility for defining and overseeing the LATAM Finance Transformation Roadmap. The Finance Transformation team are a new addition to the Finance vertical and it will be important for the successful candidate to help the Head of Finance Transformation continue to build the credibility and value proposition of a Transformation team. So, a "can do" attitude and "willingness to get hands dirty" will be a prerequisite for success in the Role.

The Role will be responsible for a collection of projects for the Finance vertical of Superbet Group, for aligning them with strategic goals by prioritizing initiatives, optimizing resource allocation across projects, monitoring performance, and managing risks to ensure the portfolio delivers maximum value and meets business and Departmental objectives. The role requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to make informed decisions regarding project selection, prioritization, and execution.

The role will also require at times the successful candidate to play a hands-on role in assuming the role of Project manager, Business analyst, Change manager, and/or Stakeholder Engagement manager to ensure the right outcomes are achieved for the Finance internal customers and vertical. We aim to strike the right balance between being strategic and frugal with Superbet resources.

We are looking for someone who :

  • Strong academics, including degree level education and likely Big 4 background with 3-4 years PQE
  • Proven experience in project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate project performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Expertise in portfolio management tools and software.
  • Understanding of financial analysis and budgeting principles to assess project viability.
  • Leadership abilities to guide project teams and manage complex portfolio initiatives.
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural and multi-location environment with an ability to work independently and prioritise workload as part of a geographically dispersed team.
  • Enthusiastic and ability to take initiative and provide direction to others.
  • Organised self-starter, with drive and ambition to quickly make an impact within an evolving business.
  • Strong project management skills with an attention to detail.
  • Relevant sector experience would serve an advantage, such as Gaming background, digital, retail or e-Commerce.
  • Fluent in English with exceptional writing capabilities.
  • Excellent communicator and good team and leadership skills, with ability to build close relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders.
  • Listed experience or within a high-growth business a benefit but not essential.
  • Provide support to colleagues at all levels including training where necessary.

What you'll be doing:

Primary:

Strategic Alignment:

  • Evaluate and select projects that align with the organizations and departments strategic vision and priorities.
  • Analyse project proposals to assess their potential impact and alignment with business and departmental goals.
  • Regularly communicate portfolio status and performance to key stakeholders, including senior management.

Resource Management:

  • Optimize resource allocation across projects within the portfolio to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify resource constraints and proactively address potential bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure efficient resource utilization.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) of each project within the portfolio.
  • Regularly assess project progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Generate reports to provide visibility into portfolio health and potential risks.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks across the project portfolio.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential issues and minimize impact.
  • Monitor risk levels and escalate critical issues as needed.
  • Utilize established criteria to prioritize projects based on business value, urgency, and resource availability.
  • Facilitate decision-making processes to select projects for execution and potentially de-prioritize or cancel others.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across different departments.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure alignment on portfolio goals and expectations.
  • Address concerns and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Secondary: (on an as needs basis)

Project Manager:

  • Oversee Business process reengineering and digital transformation projects, ensuring they stay on track with timelines, budget, and scope.

Business Analyst:

  • Analyse existing business processes, identify pain points, and define requirements for needful Transformation.

Change Manager:

  • Facilitate organizational change by communicating the transformation vision, training employees, and managing resistance.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks (on an as needs basis)

Other considerations:

  • Primarily Brazil (Sao Paulo) based/hybrid role with some travel required to other key locations/offices. (E.g.: Croatia, Gibraltar, Malta, Romania, Belgium, UK)
  • Travel may be required in the early stages of projects scoping, during project kick-off, training, and hyper care to other locations of 2-3 days per week on a fortnightly basis.
