Responsibilities

• Regional Accounting & Financial Management: Monitor and manage the accounting operations of the six sub-regional offices in the Inter-America region (São Paulo, Brazil; Barbados, Caribbean; Santiago, Chile; Bogotá, Colombia; Mexico City, Mexico; New York, USA); record transactions in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (BC); prepare, validate and report financial statements (monthly, quarterly and annual) in line with local and international standards; manage cash and financial flows for the region.
  
• Tax Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: Prepare and review tax returns; ensure accuracy and timely submission; ensure local tax obligations are fulfilled; liaise with auditors as the main point of contact.
  
• Regional Accounting Expertise & Internal Controls: Act as the main accounting reference for the six sub-regional offices; provide technical guidance to regional teams to ensure best practices; ensure compliance with the group's reporting guidelines and recommend improvements to accounting processes.
  
• Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide financial analyses to support regional decision-making; collaborate with the global office on financial reporting and regional alignment.
  
• Supervision & Reporting: This position reports to the Regional Secretary (functionally to the Head of Global Operations).
  
• Cross-functional Links: Work closely with all regional office departments and the finance team at the Geneva head office.
  

Employment Conditions

The salary will be compatible with the responsibilities described. The working week is 40 hours. Employment will be on a CLT (Consolidação das Leis do Trabalho) basis under local Brazilian law.

Education & Selection Criteria

• Degree in Accounting. A Master's degree would be an advantage.

• At least 5 years of experience in accounting management, ideally in a regional or multi-entity environment.
  

Languages

• Ability to work in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
