Head of Engineering (AI/Tech Consulting Company)

Mission and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Head of Engineering to technically lead the squads within the Delivery vertical, ensure solution quality, maintain technical consistency across teams, and drive efficient integrations and customizations for each Go Live. You will act as the technical escalation point to unblock complex projects, support tech leads, and ensure alignment with the CTO-defined architecture.

  • Lead the technical squads assigned to Delivery (tech leads and developers), ensuring high-quality deliveries within agreed timelines
  • Actively accompany the execution of complex projects, providing technical unblockages as needed
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, code quality, and best practices
  • Implement continuous improvement processes (code reviews, CI/CD, version control, bug monitoring)
  • Collaborate with the Head of Delivery, POs and QA to define client priorities and technical strategies
  • Participate in planning and capacity allocation for each squad
Requirements
  • Education in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Proven experience leading technical teams in implementation and product environments (especially B2B / enterprise)
  • Ability to translate complex technical challenges into concrete execution plans
  • Mentorship and talent development skills (tech leads and developers)
  • Key soft skills:
    • Logical thinking and practical problem-solving
    • Ability to explain technical solutions clearly and effectively
    • Autonomous, committed and collaborative attitude
    • Interest in continuous learning and code improvement
  • Languages:
    • Spanish: Native or fluent (essential for internal and external communication)
    • Portuguese: Native or fluent (essential for internal and external communication)
    • Technical English: Reading technical documentation
  • Location/Modality: Remote
