Associate Director, Analytics Development and Visualization

The Analytics Development and Data Visualization role drives the development of analytics solutions, including dashboards and reports, and leads a team of data analytics developers. The ideal candidate will manage analytics initiatives, create and maintain dashboards and reports, and possess deep proficiency in Workday Reporting and Dashboard, PRISM, Microsoft Power BI, Fabric, and external platforms such as One Model. This role directly supports our People and Workforce Analytics metrics and partners with HR leadership to ensure insights are rigorous and aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analytics developers; foster a fun, focused, collaborative, and innovative team environment; set clear goals and expectations, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.
• Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced development and data visualization techniques, leveraging BI platforms (One Model, Workday PRISM) and programming as needed; design and implement dashboards that drive insights for executive-level decision making; ensure analytics products comply with data privacy and governance requirements.
• Strategic Development: Collaborate with HR senior leadership and our People and Workforce Analytics Translators to define and execute the analytics product development strategy; identify opportunities for improvements and automation; monitor industry trends to keep Kyndryl at the forefront of analytics innovation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with HR, operations, leaders and translators to understand business needs; communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders; translate analytics insights to senior leadership.

Required Technical And Professional Experience

• Master's or Ph.D. in Software Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in a leadership role within data analytics and data visualization.
• Experience with Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms such as Microsoft Power BI (Fabric), Tableau, One Model and Workday PRISM.
• Experience data analytics, data visualization and development of analytics products, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar development languages with applications to analytics.
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills to define business requirements in a dynamic environment.
• Enthusiasm to engage with a truly delightful group of humans spanning multiple backgrounds, areas of expertise and geographies to reach alignment.
• Bonus points for professional services experience, familiarity with people analytics and workforce management software and tools and knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
• Advanced English proficiency required to collaborate with global teams

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Certification in one or more of the hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, and Google GCP) - otherwise, you can obtain certifications with Kyndryl
• Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices
