Regional Product Manager - Skincare

**Main Purpose of the Role**

To lead the general marketing management of the Skincare Category portfolio & Fuel to Grow pipeline development as well as portfolio quality and compliance management, all of which are critical to building sustainable profitable growth for KCP in the long-term, in order to achieve financial objectives across the region.

Key interface with Skincare Regional Category Manager, Regional Category Managers across HH&T & sustainability, Customer Management and GTM Teams, Global R&E, Global & Regional Product Supply, Global ECM, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Product Safety and Global Innovation Leadership Team

**Size & Complexity**: Regional business operating across 3 clusters (LAO role) 5 clusters (EMEA role)

**One-KC Scope**:
Proven track record of working in branded product marketing or category management

Experienced in cross-regional / cross
- functional collaboration

Proven track record in new product development and product renovation

Experience in dealing with internal / external product supply, manufacturing and logistics

Experience with working in a regulated category

Self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of autonomy

The ability to work effectively across functions in a multi-cultural team is essential as is the ability to communicate with people at all levels both internally and externally

This role will require travel through the region

**Role Accountabilities**

Responsible for directing category marketing management of products. This work includes profitability analysis for individual products. The incumbent leads the development of recommendations for product changes to better meet customer requirements and to strengthen and expand product offering. Incumbent also leads activities with the Product Supply team to direct and execute cost reduction programs for product lines.

Principal accountabilities:

- Partners with the Regional Skincare Category Manager to input into the long-term vision for the product & portfolio strategy for the category within assigned region
- Leads and directs product portfolio maintenance
- Effective commercial management of regional skincare product categories and systems to enable achievement of growth and profit objectives for the regional market. Maintains P&L for product portfolio
- Drive segment insights for the skincare category and lead Product Design Cost Transformation projects in accordance with product strategy
- Responsible for regional skincare portfolio product mix and SKU management
- Renovate, extend and expand regional product portfolio in collaboration with regional & global product supply
- Manage costs, working capital and quality for the regional skincare portfolio
- Ensure skincare portfolio specs, technical data compliance & product data accuracy
- In partnership with the Skincare Category Manager, monitor forecasting to maximise customer service and stocks in line with targets
- Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of customer, product and competitive capabilities and limitations to improve the regional business competitive position - tactical tracking, benchmarking, war rooms.
**Standard Work**
- Manages product data & maintain accuracy in the PIM system for regional products within assigned product category & leads creation of new codes in SAP system for cross cluster SKUs
- Regularly monitors competitor activity
- Partners with Regulatory & Quality teams to ensure products are of a high quality and regulatory issues / customer complaints are promptly & proactively addressed
- Manages product specifications & datasheets
- Applies Brand Identity Guidelines across the portfolio for assigned product category
- Ensures all marketing content is uploaded & maintained in the Digital Asset Management System
- Inputs into regional S&OP processes
- Works with cluster marketing & sales to pressure test demand forecasts
**Education & Experience**

**Essential**:

- Bachelor Degree, in business-related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in marketing / brand management roles with a demonstrated track record of achievement and growth in leadership behaviours
- Understanding of P&L management
- Experience in managing cross functional projects
**Preferred**:

- Experience in a B2B environment
- Category or marketing experience
- Experience of working within the skincare category, ideally within a sales or marketing discipline
- Experience of operating within a regulated category
- Experience of working with ECM partners
**Commercial / Functional Skills**
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work cross functionally
- Strong business & organizational acumen - understanding of market dynamics, P&L management & commercial mindset etc.
