Data is the base component which is taking Bayer to a reality of continuous added value and improved digital experience to farmers, what has kept our leadership in the industry. LA IT data team is the key ingredient to unlock digital value to farmers by offering robust data foundation and engineering guidance in a thoughtful and sustainable manner. LatAm is leading digital transformation at Bayer Crop Science, but there is still a lot to do - and all the paths cross our team’s path.

**YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO**:

- Oversees the life cycle of a particular set of data;
- Defines data quality rules and implement automated monitoring, reporting, and remediation solutions;
- Implements and fine-tunes data governance guidelines, policies, processes and controls;
- Ensures data consistency across multiple systems and business units;
- Participates in trainings and discussions to evangelize these frameworks and objectives - Governance, Data Quality, Data Wrangling, and Best Practices;
- Maintains records of adequate data collection, maintenance and usage;
- Implements and utilizes data solutions for data analysis and profiling using a variety of tools such as Postman, R or Python and following team’s established processes and methodologies;
- Collaborates with other data stewards and engineers within the team and across teams on aligning delivery dates and integration efforts;
- Utilizes root cause analysis to identify trends and assess impact of data quality issues;
- Resolution of data support tickets;
- Understands business capability needs and processes as they relate to IT solutions through partnering with Product Managers and business and functional IT stakeholders.

**ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?**

**Mandatory**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Agriculture or another related field (graduated or on going - last year of studies);
- Advanced English and fluent Portuguese are required (spanish is a plus);
- Querying SQL and/or NoSQL databases;
- Managing data using APIs;
- Profiling data, summarizing and reporting data quality metrics;
- Ability to deliver detailed technical documentation;
- Knowledge in designing data catalogs, including data design, metadata structures, object relations, catalog population, etc;
- Superficial experience with modern engineering technologies and data principles, for instance: Big Data Cloud Compute, NoSQL, etc.;
- Understanding of data architecture and modeling;
- Knowledge of data management best practices
- Understanding of agile development, continuous deployment, DevOps, and decision science - AI, ML etc.;
- Business acumen in Crop Science is much desired.
