Product Development Engineer

Responsibilities
- Help transition technology to a commercial product.
- Design and assemble water electrolysis balance of plant (i.e., the mechanical, thermal, fluidics, and control aspects).
- Support the development and integration of the control software for the complete water electrolyzer system.
- Support regulatory or certification applications and compliance of products with national codes and standards.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Process, or Chemical (if experienced in building test set ups) Engineering.
- 3-5+ years of industry experience in product development, including designing and assembling equipment for controlled chemical processes.
- Experience with documentation, maintenance, and verification processes.
- Strong proficiency in English.
- Desired: experience with hydrogen systems (ideally electrolyzers/fuel cells).
- Desired: experience with pressurized fluid systems.
- Desired: Experience with Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) or alternative safety analysis methods.
Compensation
- Above market salary and equity incentives, based on qualifications, skills, relevant education or training, and experience.
- Possibility of travelling to 1s1 Energy's locations in the US and Portugal.
