About the Job You're a systems thinker who builds structure without losing sight of the people it serves. You bring analytical rigor to People Operations—spotting patterns, improving processes, and using data to drive decisions—while creating experiences that make team members feel supported and valued.You know there’s a real person on the other end of every message and workflow, so you believe a first-class team member experience is built on trust, clarity, and care—and you take pride in creating that every day.  As People Operations Specialist at SuperSummary, you’ll turn complexity into order, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You’ll treat team members like customers, delivering fast, useful support that makes their workday easier through thoughtful onboarding, clear internal communication, and engaging culture programs. You’ll spot patterns, solve problems, and strengthen the systems that help the company scale.  SuperSummary is growing fast, and we’re expanding our People Operations function to match. As People Operations Specialist, you’ll help build the culture and infrastructure that power a company inspiring millions to engage deeply with the books they read. Key Responsibilities Process Design & Improvement: Document and refine people operations workflows. Identify inefficiencies through data analysis, test solutions, and implement improvements that scale with the company. Internal Communication & Knowledge Management: Maintain clear, accurate company information in Notion and Slack. Ensure updates reach the right audiences and information architecture supports team efficiency. Team Engagement & Culture: Coordinate celebrations, events, and All Hands meetings that build connections across our distributed team. Partner with the Operations Manager and leadership to design programs that foster growth, recognition, and belonging. HR Administration: Manage end-to-end workflows in Rippling and Deel for U.S. employees and global contractors across multiple time zones. Maintain accurate records, ensure compliance, administer team member benefits, and support hires and terminations with precision. Onboarding & Offboarding: Lead logistics for new hires and departures: administrative recruitment support, welcome sessions, tool setup, documentation, and access management. Deliver a seamless, trustworthy first and last impression. Data & Reporting: Prepare and maintain People Ops metrics, surveys, and reports for leadership review. Identify trends and flag insights that inform strategic decisions. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with company leadership — the Executive Team, Finance, and Department Heads — on people-related workflows, budgeting, and company-wide initiatives.
