Essential Job Functions: Interfacing with international suppliers and carriers; Managing and monitoring cargo during local transportation (Door to CFS); Monitoring and updating logistics performance indicators; Resolving problems related to delays, damages and non-conformities in the logistics process; Direct contact with international suppliers to align shipping deadlines and conditions; Coordinating and monitoring sea and air import processes; Issuing and checking import documents, such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, among others; Sending shipping confirmation and arrival notification; Providing cargo information to the customer, updating internal information systems – import monitoring; Analyzing and preparing reports; Recording incidents. Other Skills & Abilities: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Must have strong verbal and written communication skills; Knowledgeable of warehouse operations and freight/logistics optimization; Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organization, and presentation skills; Ability to develop and document processes and procedures; Proficient in the use of analytical techniques such as statistical probability distribution, correlation, data sampling and relating sets of numbers; Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborate with internal and external resources, respond to questions from senior management, and manage through conflict with a positive, flexible attitude and professionalism; Strong knowledge of Microsoft office, especially Excel. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree in Foreign Trade or related field required; Minimum 2 years related experience; Minimum 1 year industry experience preferred.
