Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Formulation Scientist to join our team at International Flavors & Fragrances. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for developing and managing self-initiated or assigned Application/R&D projects and Customer Technical Service Requests (TSRs).
Key Responsibilities
- Design experiments and testing protocols, and work with regional labs to coordinate bench work to support project goals.
- Write Technical Reports and ensure confidential information is properly safeguarded, also through the course of project work.
- Contribute to maintaining, improving and advancing technical capabilities in line with current and future business needs and developments.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Life Sciences.
- 7-10 years of experience in Pharmaceutical formulation and technical service or product development, including hands-on experience with formulating tablets, capsules and/or gummies.
- Strong business acumen and ability to demonstrate practical familiarity with relevant equipment.
- Highly collaborative and effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Dedicated to addressing customer needs and delivering solutions that meet customer expectations.
- Advanced competency in science-based innovation and ability to balance stakeholder interests.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstration of ability to lead/manage a product from R&D to manufacturing.
- Broad overview of the technical/regulatory requirements and trends for the pharmaceutical industry.
- Familiarity with the Dietary Supplement industry.
Preferred Education
- MBA or PhD in a relevant discipline, such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Life Sciences.
