The successful candidate will provide technical support to our pharmaceutical solutions products and applications in the Latin American market. This includes managing the technical relationship with specific pharmaceutical and dietary supplement customers, growing the business, and developing a robust pipeline of opportunities for customers in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, and Bolivia.
The Senior Applications Scientist will be responsible for providing hands-on training to customers, sales, marketing, and distributors, as well as publishing conference posters, papers, and articles. They will also support the commercialization of new technologies and products through voice-of-customer and application/customer trials.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical formulation and technical service or product development, with experience in lab to pilot-scale blending, granulation, tableting, coating, and similar processes. They will also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as a strong business acumen in the southern cone, mainly Argentina.
The Senior Applications Scientist will work closely with marketing, sales, and distributors to ensure high-quality knowledge of our products and applications is communicated via training and demonstrations. They will also act as a member of the global IFF Applications team, communicating regularly around successful application projects and leveraging learnings from other regions.
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Life Sciences, and 7-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation and technical service or product development. They will also have a strong business acumen, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a willingness to travel (40-50%).
