Software Integration Specialist

In this position, you will be part of a team of software engineers working together to understand project requirements and develop technical solutions. As an individual contributor, you will ensure seamless integration of software into enterprise systems.

You will work on assigned system integration and testing tasks, generating project and system documentation, and ensuring internal testing is completed. Documenting all tasks and development work assigned will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assigned system integration and testing tasks.
  • Generate project and system documentation.
  • Document all tasks and development work assigned.
  • Effectively leverage product capability to drive standardization, limit customization, and maximize reuse of content developed for previous solutions.

Project Life Cycle:

  • Engage throughout the full lifecycle of assigned projects, participating in architecture, design, and functionality to keep programs on track in terms of budget, time, and customer expectations.
  • Interface with customers on general and specific issues within area of functional expertise.
  • Work directly with the customer to resolve any technical issues that may develop, keeping them abreast of technical developments.
  • Track progress of other engineers, software development, and integration effort, assisting in the resolution of any technical issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences, or System Information.
  • Spoken and written English language skills.

Technical Expertise:

  • Demonstrate ability to diagnose and solve complex issues; isolate moderately complex scenarios down to actionable items within designated job function.
  • At least five years experience in software design, software integration, EMS, Market System, or related field.
  • Experience with highly complex hardware and software configurations in real-time environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Experience with Linux, Unix, and/or Windows.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new software development practices, languages, and tools.
  • Experience with enterprise software and large distributed systems.
  • CIM-XML modeling standard knowledge and/or working related.
