Job Title

We are seeking a meticulous Due Diligence Specialist to perform thorough customer due diligence and complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) process.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive Due Diligence on existing, new, and/or potential customers based on risk mitigation controls and certain trigger events.
  • Exercise sound judgment in setting priorities, identifying customer records that require further review, and taking action to obtain and follow up on the information and/or documentation requested.
  • Analyze and evaluate information provided by customers, external data sources, and your own reviews to ensure it meets our requirements for verification.
  • Communicate with customers when required to handle escalated or complicated cases with strong customer empathy and clear communication of decisions and policies.
  • Develop a basic understanding of Anti-Money Laundering/Countering Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) Regulations and their impact on our business, as well as Wise products and Services.
  • Evaluate the risk level of referred profiles that may or may not meet the Risk criteria expected from escalations.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written English and Portuguese skills.
  • Ability to work independently within a variety of procedures and practices.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical abilities, and ability to adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Punctual, proactive, and willing to get things done.
