About the Role

Thomson Reuters is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team responsible for the development and modernization of our ONESOURCE Global Trade application suite.

As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and modernizing software applications using best practices in coordination with a distributed team. You will have an advanced understanding of software development methodologies and the demonstrated ability to design and develop complex software systems.

You will contribute to design choices where necessary, contribute in all aspects of an Agile software development process including design, programming, testing, documentation, quality assurance and implementation, lead code reviews to enforce code standards and provide constructive feedback to developers, and mentor the technical resources on the team to reinforce best practice and develop the team members.

You will also look forward to leveraging "innovation time" to work on pet projects and special areas of interest.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with 5 to 7 years of experience developing cloud native applications, full stack development, advanced English, C# / .Net Core, TypeScript, Angular, API's – REST / GraphQL, Microservices, MVC, Database – SQL / NoSQL, AWS - Serverless / Lambda, Containers - Docker, ECS/EKS, and Kubernetes, Message Queueing Services – Amazon SQS / MQ, DevOps - CI/CD practices and tools and understanding of pipelines, experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD) software development practices, a good understanding of design patterns and N-Tier architecture, SaaS based software development experience on large to enterprise class applications, experience designing applications iteratively with continuous collaboration between business and tech, strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
