This role involves managing accounting operations by monitoring and approving financial processing, reporting, and ensuring compliance with the Group Finance Manual.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring accounting financial standards are met through expenditure monitoring, variance identification, and corrective action implementation.
- Maintaining financial security by adhering to internal controls.
- Verifying data accuracy and processing of accounting-related information.
- Preparing monthly intercompany reconciliations.
- Supporting accounting procedures to ensure month- and year-end balances accurately reflect the company's economic and financial reality.
- Assisting internal and external auditors.
- Maintaining the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and its interfaces with other applications.
- Supporting the creation of financial reports in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Providing training on accounting systems, principles, and practices to workers in both oral and written formats.
Key relationships include:
- Local finance team.
- Local Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team.
- Local Tax team.
- LAM Regional Accounting team.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Extensive experience in the field and full qualification/training.
- Combined broad theoretical and practical knowledge, including company policies and practices.
- Strong competence with various tools, procedures, etc.
