Accounting Operations Specialist

This role plays a vital part in supporting accounting and tax closing processes across Brazil, Chile, and Argentina. The Accounting Operations Specialist will oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and tax closing activities in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

The specialist must have strong technical expertise, communication skills, and the ability to interact with both local and international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Closing & Management Reporting:
    • Oversight of financial entries throughout the month and resolution of operational or system-related discrepancies.
    • Preparation, review, and submission of financial reports using HFM, adhering to headquarters' consolidation timelines.
    • Delivery of complete and accurate Reporting Packages to HQ on a regular basis.
    • Submission of monthly cash flow reports in HFM.
    • Management of IFRS 16 processes and coordination of related entries with external partners based on HQ guidelines.
    • Maintenance of provision spreadsheets for bonuses, commissions, variable rent, and other expenses.
    • Review of balance sheet reconciliations and assurance of accuracy with external partners.
    • Support for external audits and Transfer Pricing reviews.
    • Provision of ad hoc financial analyses and account breakdowns as requested.
    • Collaboration with global teams to clarify technical accounting queries and validate classifications.
  • Inventory Control:
    • Execution of monthly inventory account reconciliations, including corrections and reclassifications.
    • Calculation and management of inventory obsolescence provisions across all countries.
    • Support for cost closing processes and performance of margin analysis.
    • Reconciliation of intercompany transactions and inventory-related accounts.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Mandatory: Experience with Linx ERP.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with HFM and other ERP systems.
  • Strong background in accounting/tax closing and IFRS compliance.
  • Experience in multinational companies and reporting to global headquarters.
  • Advanced Excel skills and high proficiency in data management and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Languages: Intermediate to advanced English and/or Spanish.
