Job Description:
A data collection specialist is needed to support the implementation of a project aimed at generating inclusive and sustainable green public spaces in Sao Paulo. The specialist will work closely with the operational, technical, and communications teams to collect data on the field.
About the Project:
The project aims to improve green public spaces in Sao Paulo through city-wide and neighborhood-level approaches. The Data Collection Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of this project by collecting data and information necessary for its success.Key Responsibilities:
1. Collect data and information on the field
2. Attend local meetings as requested by the project team
3. Participate in training on data collection approaches and methodologies
4. Maintain orderly, standardized, and structured data records
5. Elaborate and deliver a monthly activity report in a timely mannerRequirements:
1. Secondary level education or additional 2 years of relevant technical experience
2. A minimum of one year of progressively responsible experience in urban related themes
3. Good people skills, approachable, observant, and open
4. Good communication skills
5. Good handling of online tools and computer skills in Microsoft Office packageKnowledge Management:
The Data Collection Specialist must know the processes, procedures, and norms of UN-Habitat to guarantee an adequate quality of the activities described above, following the standards of the organization.
