The organisation works with organisations at all levels to help build, manage, plan and finance sustainable urban development.
The Senior Technical Consultant will work on the report concerning the Baixada Fluminense Metropolitan region. This report aims to promote risk reduction and enhance the adaptation and resilience of municipalities to extreme climate events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and write part of the report concerning the Baixada Fluminense Metropolitan region.
- Collect and analyse information, data and instruments from the municipalities of the region and identify gaps.
- Research recent impacts of rains and landslides that affected the region.
- Conduct field visits in each municipality of the region, conducting interviews and technical visits in territories at high risk of disasters, when necessary or requested by the Technical Coordinator.
- Provide an integrated perspective on basic urban services such as housing, mobility, energy, water, sanitation, etc. and their vulnerabilities.
The Senior Technical Consultant will collaborate with local project teams, officials, media, and civil society to support the implementation of the project.
