Urban Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Urban Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Social Territories Programme in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The role involves working closely with our operational and technical teams in Rio de Janeiro to support the project's work plan and daily activities. This includes coordinating with Municipal Secretariats involved in the implementation of the Programme, supervising fieldwork and monitoring by phone, and ensuring that technical activities are aligned with the quality expectations of the Agency.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as experience working with local authorities and communities. A strong understanding of urban development issues and policies is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with Municipal Secretariats involved in the implementation of the Programme
  • Supervising fieldwork and monitoring by phone
  • Ensuring that technical activities are aligned with the quality expectations of the Agency
  • Supporting the monitoring of the Programme
  • Supporting the dissemination of the Programme in the communities
  • Supporting the organization of local events
  • Maintaining an organized and accessible information file
