Senior Technical Content Developer

As a Technical Information Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing technical and analytical leadership in the development of operational, maintenance, repair, installation, onscreen help, and diagnostic information for John Deere products. This position is located in Indaiatuba-SP and requires a strong understanding of product purposes, functions, and user requirements.

• Lead and contribute to enterprise innovation & strategy initiatives supporting standards, automations & AI, and advanced diagnostic solutions;
• Work in partnership with product engineering and customer support representatives to identify and define solutions improving product troubleshooting pain-points, technician efficiency, and customer uptime;
• Collaborate with product engineering and customer support organizations to define hardware, software, and technical information requirements minimizing time to diagnose and repair;
• Support project leaders, lead technical information specialists, and training development specialists to create and execute content development plans that meet quality, efficiency, and economic requirements;
• Lead and conduct technical content reviews supporting quality and accuracy of content;
• Provide work direction, mentoring, and training to local and remote authoring resources.

• Complete degree in Engineering, Technologist, Ag/Ag Sciences, or other technical fields;
• Advanced English: broad vocabulary, good grammar, conducts meetings, negotiates, and provides training;
• Thorough knowledge in engineering principles, theory, and practice;
• Demonstrated technical experience troubleshooting systems, functions, and components;
• Strong technical and analytical skills to detect, diagnose, and resolve complex machine issues, particularly with hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems;
• Proven organization skills, decision-making, and ability to manage competing priorities;
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills;
• Experience and knowledge of Product Development and Customer & Product Support processes.

• Cross-functional experience across one or more areas including product design, manufacturing, quality, and/or product & customer support;
• A team player who helps build a highly engaged and energized work environment;
• Experience developing and integrating process improvements through application of digital dexterity tools, such as automations, AI, data & analytics;
• Experience and knowledge with technical information development systems, processes, and tools;
• Experience working with local and global teams.
