About the Role:

A skilled professional is sought to provide technical assistance and collaborate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of plans, programs, and projects related to HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis (VH), and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI). The ideal candidate will work closely with national authorities to strengthen institutional capacity to eliminate these diseases, focusing on vulnerable populations through evidence-based interventions, capacity building, and collaborative partnerships.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of projects related to HIV/AIDS, VH, and STI.
  • Collaborate with national authorities to develop strategies for eliminating HIV/AIDS, VH, STI, and vertical transmission.
  • Prepare project documents, reports, and proposals, including those aligned with the goals of vertical transmission elimination.
  • Mobilize resources by assisting national authorities in preparing proposals and project plans.
  • Contribute to the development of the Representation's Biennial Work Plan (BWP) in collaboration with the Advisor, analyzing political, technical, and socioeconomic realities related to HIV/AIDS, VH, STI, and vertical transmission elimination indicators and targets.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in HIV/AIDS, VH, and STI.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience working with national authorities and international organizations.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese language skills a plus.
