About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment specialist to join our team. As a specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and collaboration in the planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of plans, programs, and projects related to HIV/AIDS.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and collaborate in the planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of plans, programs, and projects related to HIV/AIDS.
- Support national authorities in strengthening institutional capacity to eliminate HIV/AIDS, focusing on vulnerable population groups through evidence-based interventions, capacity building, and collaborative partnerships.
- Contribute to the organization's representation in technical and political scenarios, promoting PAHO's technical leadership in health.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a health science with specialization in public health, HIV/AIDS, VH, STI, VT, or any other field related to the functions of the post, from a recognized university.
- Five years of national experience working in public health, with a focus on HIV/AIDS, VH, STI, and VT, including project management and program implementation.
- Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and tact to effectively communicate with senior-level officials, multiple stakeholders, and professionals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
