We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join our infrastructure team in managing and modernizing our hybrid environment.

This position requires a highly skilled engineer with expertise in VMware, Hyper-V, and Azure cloud platforms.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in infrastructure projects and migrations while working to optimize workload distribution between on-premises and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead infrastructure projects including migrations from cloud to on-premises and cloud to cloud environments
  • Manage and optimize VMware and Hyper-V environments spanning 400+ virtual machines
  • Design and implement Azure infrastructure solutions including virtual machines, networking, and storage
  • Develop automated provisioning and management using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
  • Evaluate and implement infrastructure management tools to replace/enhance current deployment
  • Ensure backup and disaster recovery strategies are implemented and tested regularly
  • Collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams on container workload infrastructure
  • Share network infrastructure responsibilities with the infrastructure team
  • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and implement improvements for reliability and efficiency
  • Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture and processes
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure issues
  • Provide technical guidance on infrastructure best practices and standards

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering
  • Expert-level knowledge of VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V platforms
  • Strong experience managing hybrid workloads across on-premises and cloud environments
  • Hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure services (virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, load balancers)
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Automation and scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Solid experience with both Windows Server and Linux operating systems, with emphasis on Windows
  • Understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Fluency in English language required
