Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Sao Paulo. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic and inclusive work environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing coaching and support to less experienced team members, understanding and applying accounting principles and policies, preparing and reviewing account reconciliations, and analyzing revenues and expenses.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, relevant work experience, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and fluency in English (written and verbal). Preferred qualifications include experience with Oracle Financials Cloud, MS Access, and SQL, business process optimization, CPA, CMA, or relevant professional certification, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, accountability to protect organization's value by keeping information confidential, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to act and operate independently to accomplish objectives, and ability to work within a team and liaise well across departments and functions.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Provides coaching and support to less experienced team members
  • Understands and applies accounting principles and policies
  • Prepares and reviews account reconciliations
  • Analyzes revenues and expenses
  • Supports documents monitors executes internal control
  • Assists with external audit requests
  • Coordinates accounting matters with other departments
  • Initiates organizes and leads team meetings working sessions and project-based check-ins
  • Responds to escalated and complex queries from various stakeholders and advises on solutions
  • Prepares reports such as balance sheets profit and loss statements and other documents that project the organization's financial position
  • Prepares monthly financial statements and supporting schedules according to the monthly financial statement close schedule
  • Analyzes accounting procedures processes and tasks recommends and executes improvements with the aim of reducing redundancy building efficiency and increasing productivity while ensuring compliance with company financial policies
  • Assists with completion of quarterly and annual regulatory filings

Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
    • Relevant work experience
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with Oracle Financials Cloud
    • MS Access and SQL
    • Business process optimization
    • CPA CMA or relevant professional certification
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
