Antarctic Communications Specialist - Austral Summer 2025

This full-time seasonal position requires the skills to maintain and troubleshoot various radio communications systems at USAP stations in Antarctica.

The Communications Specialist will be responsible for supervising and directing communication technicians, developing project schedules, and preparing management progress reports.

The successful candidate must have strong organizational, verbal/written communication skills, and leadership abilities. A minimum of four years of experience maintaining radio communications systems is required.

The specialist will be responsible for maintaining a safe workplace program and ensuring safety is the highest priority in the workplace. The individual must be able to work in a cold environment with 6 months of daylight and be capable of lifting up to 60 pounds and walking with equipment up to a mile.
