This position is responsible for ensuring full compliance with direct and indirect tax obligations for designated legal entities in Brazil. The Financial Compliance Specialist will oversee the timely and accurate preparation, review, and submission of tax returns, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure adherence to local tax laws and corporate policies.
Main Responsibilities:- Prepare, review, and file federal and municipal tax returns (IRPJ, CSLL, PIS, Cofins, ISS, Retidos)
- Manage tax returns obligations
- Ensure accurate tax accounting and reconciliations in accordance with Brazilian GAAP and company policies
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business
- Support tax audits by tax authorities
- Maintain robust internal controls over tax processes
In addition to these responsibilities, the Financial Compliance Specialist will provide advisory and business partnering support by aligning with the tax planning area, supporting tax planning and optimization initiatives in line with compliance requirements, liaising with external tax advisors, auditors, and legal counsel when needed.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related fields
- Proficiency with ERP systems and tax compliance solutions
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Proactive and hands-on attitude with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with tight deadlines
- Familiarity with tax digitalization trends and automation projects is a plus
