About the Role

This leadership position oversees the engineering functions within the region, focusing on team management, facility maintenance, regulatory compliance, capital projects management, and operational efficiency.

  • Team Management:
    • Lead and develop high-performing teams of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure optimal performance.
    • Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and operational requirements.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training and development needs for team members.
  • Facility Maintenance and Repair:
    • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and improvement of all facilities and equipment within the region.
    • Develop comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
    • Coordinate with facility managers and vendors to schedule and prioritize repair activities.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory standards.
    • Stay updated on relevant codes, laws, and industry trends to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
    • Implement and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Capital Projects Management:
    • Lead and manage capital projects, including expansions, renovations, and upgrades, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to develop project plans, oversee implementation, and ensure quality of work.
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs within the region.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to measure and track operational performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Cultivate strong relationships with regional directors, facility managers, and cross-functional teams to align engineering initiatives with organizational objectives.
    • Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
