Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing goods and services in a way that adds value to our functional organizations. This will involve establishing sourcing strategies, maintaining relationships with suppliers, and developing and maintaining market knowledge for one or more spend areas.
Key Responsibilities- Sourcing support for Elanco Logistics services, including warehouse and distribution, international transportation, warehousing, and other logistics services for the Americas cluster.
- Leading the sourcing process from strategy development and supplier selection through contract negotiation and ongoing relationship management with other functions.
- Identifying, negotiating with, and managing suppliers who provide goods and services to meet Elanco's global logistics requirements.
- Providing commercial expertise and assisting in managing risks from external providers.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Industrial Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain.
- At least 6 years of Procurement experience with a large company.
- At least 2 years of experience sourcing experience for warehouse and distribution or logistics/freight forwarder spend.
- Understanding and experience with logistics service providers and strategies behind logistics with a preference on the healthcare environment.
- Experience and knowledge of GxP manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated examples of taking bold leadership to drive organizational change.
