Job Title: Clinical Project Feasibility Manager

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to manage the process of clinical project feasibility studies and provide strategic recruitment planning and site ID support to the proposal and project teams. The role assists Business Development with the generation of cost proposals providing input and advice regarding operational strategy to support client interactions and long-term strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish the viability of proposed projects through interrogation of internal and external performance metrics, e.g. enrollment rate benchmarking, competitive environment
  • Establish the viability of proposed projects through interrogation of internal and external resources to establish demographics and data on patient populations and assess the level of opportunity within each country
  • Establish the viability of proposed projects through country/site/patient scenario modelling and risk assessment
  • Ensure the quality of all collected data is of high quality, accurate and fully documented in the ICON Feasibility business systems
  • Prepare feasibility strategy text for proposal documents
  • Prepare for and attend Bid Defense Meetings (by Telephone Conference or by attendance in person)
  • Ensure the Feasibility services of the group are clearly represented and employed to support strategic project planning (or potential preferred partner bidding)
  • Supervise less senior Feasibility associates during Bid Defense (or potential preferred partner) meetings
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a life science, communication and/or scientific discipline is strongly preferred
  • Alternatively, a shorter degree would be considered if the above experience was not met
  • Must have 3 years relevant experience in drug development with 1 year's experience in conducting at least one of the following: pre-award feasibility, post-award site identification / site selection / recruitment planning for global studies or have exceeded performance in the role of Global Feasibility Associate (minimum of 1 year) with strong experience in the functional role of feasibility (pre-award)
  • Highly developed planning and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to resolve conflicting priorities to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication, written and oral
  • The candidate must be able to produce reports to a high standard and review the quality and content of any reports produced by the team
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Be an accomplished negotiator with the ability to influence and present to small and large groups
  • Highly developed analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to liaise effectively across departments, with senior management, clinical project teams, clients and experts inside and outside ICON
