As a senior software engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable systems supporting our financial services.

  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code using best software development practices.
  • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain high-quality software documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
  • Teach, mentor, grow, and provide advice to other domain experts, individual contributors, across teams in their sub-department.
  • Solve complex technical problems for your sub-department.
  • Look for innovation opportunities in your team with a willingness to experiment and to boldly confront problems of large complexity and scope.
  • Propose initial technical implementation which supports architectural changes that solve scaling and performance problems.
  • Guide conversations to remove blockers and encourage collaboration in your team.
  • Expose the work of the sub-department and their business impact internally.
Requirements:
  • Hands-on engineering experience.
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
  • Moderate to advanced problem-solving skills with medium domains.
  • Deep understanding of web applications including security, session management, and best development practices.
  • Relational database system and Object Oriented Programming knowledge.
  • Domain Driven Design knowledge. Microservice Architecture experience is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies.
  • Proven ability to design complex distributed applications built for high performance and throughput while being scalable and reliable.
  • Development using Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and AWS.
  • Experience with asynchronous programming.
  • Demonstrated experience profiling and performance tuning Java applications, and using monitoring tools for production application monitoring.
