Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and repairing production and facilities equipment to ensure overall equipment reliability, plant capacity, and cost control.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, excellent analytical and trouble-shooting skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people at all levels of the company.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing highly specialized duties to install and maintain production and facility equipment
- Assisting the engineering team with process and instrumentation diagram development
- Providing emergency/unscheduled/scheduled repairs and maintenance and preventative maintenance of equipment to maintain the production schedule and satisfy regulatory compliance
- Responding with urgency to unplanned mechanical issues affecting performance or safety
- Performing inspections and scheduled maintenance of plant machinery and equipment
- Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to ensure equipment reliability, optimum performance, and safety
- Diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing and making adjustments as needed on the equipment
- Identifying and ordering parts needed, and effectively communicating the status of parts orders to leaders
- Developing and maintaining spare parts inventory
- Training operators on job aids, work instructions, and total productive maintenance procedures
- Building strong working relationships with machine operators and all production employees
- Applying experience and skills when troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) automation and controls
- Safely and correctly using shop tools such as hand tools, drill, grinder, and welder
- Safely operating a forklift and scissor lift
- Supporting plant safety, health, and environmental programs
- Providing various carpentry functions as required
- Completing safety work orders as assigned
- Complying with all company policies and guidelines
- Assisting in maintaining a safe environment
- Performing additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate level degree is a plus
- 3 years industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people at all levels of the company
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams
- Willingness to work 40-60 hours a week, including Saturdays, as needed
- This role is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship, and the successful candidate must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship to work in the US
