Real Estate Risk Management Specialist

The Real Estate Risk Group Manager oversees collateral risks connected to real estate lending, including valuation review, sub-servicer valuation oversight, and appraisal management.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team in overseeing collateral risks, comprising valuation review and appraisal management.
- Strategically apply analytical thinking and subject matter expertise in real estate and appraisal.
- Ensure the quality of appraisals for properties taken as collateral in conjunction with real estate lending.
- Set measurable goals for direct reports, provide feedback, and coaching.
- Monitor team pipeline reports to ensure SLAs are met and serve as an escalation point of contact.
- Complete escalated reviews on value changes over 50%, maintain watchlist oversight, compliance, and exception approval authority.
- Ensure consistent review quality through Peer Review, maintain sufficient capacity, and expertise for valuation assessment.
- 10+ years' experience in risk required, complex knowledge of financial services, and knowledge of the industry is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills in a cross-functional environment, knowledgeable about risk systems infrastructure, and different markets.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Argus, database management experience, and a comprehensive understanding of applicable industry regulations and standards.
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
