Job Title:
Artistic Director for Environmental EnvironmentsThis is a leadership role where you will oversee the creative direction of environmental environments in games under a specific IP.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a clear artistic vision for environmental environments in games.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of artists to create high-quality content for POIs, biomes, and prop sets.
- Work closely with the Art Director to ensure the artistic direction of the environment is met.
- Represent the Art Director in meetings and discussions as needed.
- Lead a team of Environment Artists and Level Designers to deliver engaging player experiences.
- Implement high-level goals of Environment Art Direction and guide artists and implementation toward shipping.
- Ensure core narrative goals and visual pillars of the game are being achieved.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of environmental art processes for games.
- Experience working with Unreal Engine and various DCC tools.
- Ability to receive, deliver, and implement clear feedback.
- Deep understanding of what makes for an engaging player experience.
- Understanding of performance and optimization.
- Deep knowledge of technical aspects of game art creation.
- Experience as a Lead overseeing a large art development team.
