Senior Propulsion Structural Design Engineer

Overview

This role is responsible for the structural design of propulsion systems, including pylon structures, nacelles, thrust reversers, and other key components. The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural elements and actuation mechanisms, as well as experience with 3D Computer Aided Design tools.

The ideal candidate will lead the development, maintenance, and modification of structural and component designs, ensuring compliance with requirements and specifications. They will also be responsible for managing supplier development, test, and production activities, and coordinating with suppliers to optimize design and achieve program goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Structural Requirements Integration: Develop and integrate structural requirements to establish system design.
  • Performance Analysis: Lead performance, integration, and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements.
  • Supplier Management: Manage supplier development, test, and production activities.
  • Design Process Improvement: Develop new design/analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of development effort.
  • Technology Advancement: Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs.
Requirements:
  • Work Authorization: Existing rights to work in Brazil.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Credential Registration: Registration or eligibility to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (CREA).
  • Language Skills: Proficient in verbal and written English language skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Structural Validation Experience: In-depth experience validating or verifying structural models.
  • Aircraft Structural Design: In-depth experience with structural design principles for aircraft.
  • Analytical Skills: In-depth experience with analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
