Job Description

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme is promoting sustainable development of human settlements and policies conducive to adequate housing for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote participation and engagement of people living in the community
  • Support organisation and holding of meetings, workshops, assemblies and other spaces for social participation in the community
  • Communicate project information clearly and efficiently to the community
  • Publicise the programme in the communities
  • Attend project meetings as required
  • Participate in local meetings as requested
Requirements:
  • Secondary school or additional 2 years of relevant technical experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in fields of work such as data collection, public projects, and vulnerable communities in Rio de Janeiro
  • Experience in social area and coordinating fieldwork in public sector and vulnerable areas is desirable
  • Previous experience working in the United Nations is desirable
Skills:
  • Good computer skills in Windows and Office packages and Web search engines
  • Previous experience in household, census and/or social surveys, especially in vulnerable areas
