Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned User Research Lead to drive impactful research initiatives across our gaming portfolio. This role will be responsible for uncovering player insights, developing actionable recommendations, and championing evidence-based decision-making throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze player data to identify preferences, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Design and execute end-to-end research studies using surveys, focus groups, interviews, playtests, and other methods.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize research needs and align with project goals.
  • Advocate for a player-first mindset by translating research findings into actionable recommendations for game design, product, and publishing teams.
  • Lead and mentor a team of user researchers, fostering their growth and ensuring high-quality output.
  • Ensure consistent, reliable research practices that reflect the voice of players.
  • Stay current on research methodologies and gaming trends to continuously elevate research impact.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree completed.
  • 8+ years of experience in user research, including 2–3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity; hands-on experience with both qualitative and quantitative research techniques.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Skilled in designing and conducting surveys, FGDs, interviews, and usability studies.
  • Strong ability to communicate insights clearly and persuasively to non-research audiences.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects and collaborating across departments.
  • Passion for games or a strong understanding of gaming culture and player motivations.
  • Excellent project management and organization skills and familiarity with Agile methodology.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in the gaming or entertainment industry.
  • Proficiency with research tools like Qualtrics, SPSS, Dovetail, or similar.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and willingness to develop AI skills.
