Cloud Infrastructure Reliability Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Reliability Engineer with expertise in Kafka, to enhance our operational capabilities in Brazil. Our organization collaborates with leading global brands to create digital solutions that revolutionize their business models. With a robust history of 29 years, we excel in delivering comprehensive and scalable digital services through a workforce of over 6,000 professionals in strategy, research, data science, design, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement robust observability and monitoring frameworks for intricate IoT, Big Data, and streaming service environments utilizing AWS.
  2. Develop and manage dashboards, alerts, and performance metrics to ensure optimal system health.
  3. Establish and uphold data quality standards and methodologies.
  4. Work collaboratively with development and operations teams to enhance system reliability and performance.
  5. Automate routine tasks and optimize system efficiency through effective scripting and tooling.
  6. Document processes, architectures, and workflows comprehensively.
  7. Adhere to security best practices across all operational environments.
  8. Provide technical support and resolve production issues efficiently.
  9. Conduct thorough root cause analyses and implement strategies to prevent future incidents.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or a related field.
  2. Fluent English communication skills, encompassing reading, writing, and speaking.
  3. Demonstrated experience with IoT platforms, Big Data technologies, and streaming services.
  4. Expertise in monitoring Apache Kafka clusters.
  5. Proficient in AWS services, including MSK.
  6. Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
  7. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  8. Strong scripting abilities in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  9. Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and associated tools.
  10. Experience with data quality management practices and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
  2. Knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  3. Understanding of data engineering principles.
  4. Experience with security best practices and compliance standards.
  5. Experience working with international clients.
  6. Familiarity with FinOps as it relates to cloud infrastructure.
  7. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
