As the IT Infrastructure Program Manager, you will oversee the comprehensive lifecycle of IT infrastructure initiatives, collaborating with diverse global teams to guarantee effective project execution. This position demands a solid grasp of IT infrastructure, project management practices, and technical acumen, along with the capability to engage effectively with stakeholders worldwide.

Your main emphasis will be on projects related to IT networks, cloud solutions, and security enhancements, as well as technical infrastructure deployment or upgrades (including deployments, obsolescence management, and infrastructure enhancements) to ensure smooth integration and peak performance, thereby delivering substantial value to the organization.

In your role at Imerys, you will operate within a global framework as part of a dedicated team focused on value creation and ongoing enhancement. You will manage and engage in high-stakes projects/programs that support business objectives and encourage the adoption of innovative technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and engage in the complete lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects with a focus on:
    • IT network and telecommunications projects, unified communications
    • IT containerization and virtualization, migration to cloud (AWS) projects
    • Infrastructure network and application separation initiatives
    • Technical obsolescence and consolidation efforts
    • Site evaluations and upgrades
  • Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables while collaborating with stakeholders to establish requirements and success criteria aligned with business goals.
  • Manage project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
  • Prepare detailed scopes of work, assess infrastructure needs for business requests, and coordinate technical designs and specifications.
  • Develop planning documentation including work breakdown structures, project schedules, resource allocation, and project budgets.
  • Continuously monitor and control project progress, budget adherence, and team engagement to ensure timely, on-budget delivery and quality outputs.
  • Manage change control processes, assess risks, and prepare mitigation strategies with impact analysis for informed decision-making.
  • Maintain project relationships with suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate the transition of project outcomes to Operations teams and release to end-users.
  • Report project status and progress to stakeholders and senior management as necessary.
  • Act as the Infrastructure task leader in business-driven programs, managing the Infrastructure scope of work.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies in IT infrastructure.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the project management domain.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager in the IT Infrastructure, network, and cloud sectors, with a minimum of 3-5 years.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IT infrastructure systems, security, architectures, and cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Project management certification is highly desirable, preferably PMP.
  • Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and/or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • ITIL certification and knowledge of the IT Service Management framework is a plus.
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
  • Knowledge of French is advantageous.
  • Able to manage and collaborate with global cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
