Global Supply Chain Lead

This role involves overseeing the purchasing of finished goods from locations outside the USA, ensuring accurate orders, timely delivery, and effective communication.

The position requires collaboration with business stakeholders and the product management team to drive a reliable supply plan that meets demand for imported materials.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining SAP MRP Master Data parameters for sourced finished goods
  • Developing SOPs and work instructions for import processes
  • Running reports and executing purchasing decisions in SAP
  • Collaborating with sourced plant contacts to ensure shipment accuracy and timeliness
  • Monitoring shipments through arrival at destination using a subscription service

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Administration, advanced English language skills, and experience in SAP, logistics, and foreign trade.

Responsibilities
  1. Run weekly or daily reports in SAP and execute purchasing decisions as needed
  2. Evaluate order recommendations and confirm their accuracy
  3. Analyze data and question recommendations when unsure
  4. Contact immediate managers or relevant coworkers for clarification and confirmation
  5. Adjust or modify POs as required due to forecast changes or late shipments
  6. Proactively follow up with sourced plant contacts to ensure shipment accuracy and timeliness
  7. Track purchase orders with support from exporting entities and an import broker
  8. Flag issues and concerns that need to be addressed
  9. Monitor shipments throughout arrival at destination using a subscription service
  10. Work with all stakeholders in the interco process to ensure real-time awareness of Interco PO arrivals and brokerage customs process status
  11. Coordinate with regional forwarding teams to expedite shipments, including direct shipments to customers and air freighting of material as needed
  12. Expedite release and drayage of containers upon arrival to port

Preferred qualifications include experience and/or training in logistics, foreign trade, and purchasing planning.
