Job Description\

As a Freight Forwarder Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting in the smooth running of the department and company. This role requires a strong focus on maintaining an effective filing system, providing professional customer service, and working closely with customers, colleagues, and third parties to ensure smooth operations meet deadlines.

Key Accountabilities:\
  • \
  • Charge out files.\
  • Enter full job details onto CargoWise, based on expected/agreed handling process.\
  • Request CE Merchant Release (Import Sea Shipments).\
  • Transmission of ISF Files on System CW1, based on agreed/alined at department.\
  • Provide effective and constant communications with customers.\
  • Be proactive when faced with problems.\
  • Maintain an effective filling system.\
  • Check invoices out and in.\
  • Timely manage invoices out and in.\
  • Work in line with finance requirements including month end procedures.\
  • Liaise with the finance department as necessary.\
  • Payments to suppliers and entry of values in the CW as well as in the financial spreadsheet.\
  • Control of Supplier Receipts for sending to the Finance Department.\
  • Assist with projects as necessary and as directed.\
  • Report any issues to your manager as soon as they arise.\
  • Perform any other duties reasonably requested.\
  • Co-operate with colleagues to create a positive working environment.\
  • Think, act, and react in accordance with the company's values.\
  • Maintain a tidy and professional working area.\
