About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of mission-critical services that power financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop High-Quality Services: Implement scalable, secure, and efficient backend services for pay-ins, pay-outs, and currency conversion.
  • Integrate Partners Efficiently: Establish seamless connections with banks, payment service providers, and FX providers to facilitate smooth financial transactions.
  • Raise System Reliability: Implement robust idempotency, retries, dead-letter queues, and graceful degradation to ensure system uptime and reliability.
  • Build Event-Driven Workflows: Orchestrate function-based workflows and long-running sagas for multi-party financial processes.
  • Model Financial Data Correctly: Ensure accurate reconciliation across entities and precise amount/rounding semantics.
  • Document and Mentor: Write clear architecture decision records and runbooks, and help level up the team through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in building backend services at scale, preferably in fintech or payments industries.
  • Strong foundation in TypeScript and Node.js; clean modular design and high-quality APIs (REST/JSON).
  • In-depth understanding of event-driven architectures, saga patterns, and function-orchestrated flows.
  • Solid data fundamentals: relational modeling, transactions/consistency, and performance tuning; caching strategies.
  • Security mindset for financial systems and familiarity with regulated environments.
