Senior Backend Software Developer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a vital role in the development and implementation of scalable and robust software solutions.

  • Spearhead the development and optimization of our EHR platform using PHP/Laravel, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Create database schemas that represent and support business processes.
  • Develop and maintain APIs for internal and external use, facilitating seamless integration with other healthcare systems and third-party services.
  • Evaluate new technology trends and apply them to continually innovate and enhance the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on best practices in backend development, code review, and team collaboration.
  • Participate in agile development process, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with design team to refine the platform's user interface and experience, implementing responsive and intuitive front-end functionalities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in PHP/Laravel and MySQL.
  • Familiarity with version control tools, preferably Git.
  • At least 5 years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining scalable web applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
